Connect an existing container to an existing category
How this works:
This page is to be used when a container already exists in the database (e.g. pint) but the system doesn't recognize that the container can be used for a certain product (such as half & half).
Select on the item you want to search. You can search certain entire categories (like beer) or go even more specific. Simply clicking on a category will select it.
The UPC code is the series of numbers immediately below a product's barcode, including the two tiny numbers on each end.
Step 2: Add the desired container
If the item has no special container and comes by itself, e.g. Microwave, then set the container to Item. If the product can come in any number of sizes then set the container to Custom.
